Odyssey blog 5/23/18 "FEELIN' GOOD, LOOKIN' LIKE DOO-DOO." Only day 3 of tracking macros & continuous trips to the gym. Woke up today feeling great, no knee soreness( as i award to my new found love for cycling). My body still looks like shit & seriously pisses me off but instead of letting it bring me down I'm using it as fuel for the fire trusting the process. I know I need a workout when my mood takes a swing for the worse. I get cranky and agitated, irritable and moody. It’s not nice for me and it’s definitely not nice for the people around me. So today I had so much work to do I skipped my weights session. By george it was the worst thing I could have done. Now I can’t even concentrate on my work because I am irritable. So I am down stairs in my gym about to start a workout. I know this fixes everything and I have no idea why I put it off so much. 63kg flexing 💯 Long post Alert 🚨 ➖ Still cannot train as hard due to the right shoulder injury. Still training the left side though, trying to maintain the strength. Now muscle fibres ( cells ) are the individual units of muscle that collectively form the muscle belly, or what make the Bicep look like the Bicep. Muscle cells come together and form muscle fascicles that are held together by fascia. alA bunch of muscle fascicles together form the bulk of the muscle. Most top athletes with years of training to their names can recruit about 60% to 65% of their muscle fibres. Whereas the average human is recruiting about 50-55%. As far as efficiency and performance goes the more muscle fibres one can recruit the better they are going to be at performing a given task, at the same the time the more muscle you use the more energy requirements for each muscle cell is also required ( muscle glycogen) To simplify this, you get more out of a 20 minute workout than you would have performing a 90 minute session.
